Topic B: A person in my field that I admire.

Enrique Dussel is a university professor with a degree in philosophy and religious sciences and has multiple doctorates in philosophy and history. His nationality is Argentine / Mexican.

He is a very important Philosopher recognized for his movement called "philosophy of liberation” but he is also a very important writer who contributes many things to the studies from a Latin American perspective .

I admire this author because he is one of the Latin American academics who has promoted the idea of breaking with the Eurocentric thought that has been established in the structural foundations of Latin America, the knowledge that he has built, contributing theoretically based on the idea of decolonization and the rupture of the hegemonic thoughts that are established in Latin America on the part of the Spanish colony.

This was one of the first Latin American academic authors that I read, and it showed me that not all knowledge comes from Europe and there is a responsibility on the part of the region to build our own knowledge from our reality.
